Founded as the Summit Art Association by a dedicated group of artists in 1933, New Jersey Center for Visual Arts has evolved into a major regional arts center with both a professionally recognized studio program and critically acclaimed exhibition program. The Center, a non-profit organization located in Summit, New Jersey, offers a variety of fine arts education programs. Its mission is to promote the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of contemporary art.

The Palmer Gallery, located inside the Center, is an innovative environment for informal, self-directed learning. With a full schedule of temporary exhibitions, the Palmer Gallery creates an atmosphere for a variety of learning experiences for all ages, interests and backgrounds.

Hours: Monday - Friday 12 PM - 4 PM, Saturday & Sunday 2 PM - 4 PM; closed last two weeks of August

Admission: $2 suggested donation for adults; $1 suggested donation for children and seniors

Location: The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts is located at 68 Elm Street in Summit, New Jersey.
